Our bridge club is a non-profit organization owned by its members. The success of the club depends on the efforts of the officers, board of directors and players.

OK, so I finally got around to doing this, writing my summary of my trip to Turkey. I kept on putting it off, and in case you didn’t already know, I am a professional procrastinator.

Resulting from the Poll recently taken, the Thursday Evening Games for Christmas Eve and NewYear's Eve have been cancelled.

The New Years Day game is still on.

Here are some photos taken by astronaut Sunita Williams, presum­ably in 2006 or 2007, as detailed in a circulating e-mail.  Millie Dabbs received the e-mail and thought you might like to see some of them.  (Of course, the e-mail claims that you can somehow help the space program by circulating it further.)

The small ones were not taken by her, but were included in the e-mail, as were some composite images of the entire earth at night.  Very cool.

The Wedneday morning Newcomer game is cancelled for the next two weeks--12/23 and 12/30.  With all the Christmas activity, we don't have enough players for a viable game.

We're currently assuming that the Tuesday afternoon 299er games will proceed as usual over the next two weeks.  Reminder:  The 12/29 game is a Pro-Am, so don't miss it! 

The club will be having a Pro-Am game on Tuesday, December 29.  We urge our experienced players to attend to help make us successful in welcoming new players to the club.  We urge our newplicates to attend and see how much fun you can have playing in this type of bridge game.  You may get to play with your teacher!
