Lazy Days of Summer? Not for the 299ers!! Reflecting back just 1-1/2 years ago, we started out with 1 and 1/2 tables--on a good day during the winter months. Last week, we had 7 tables on Tuesday and 7 and 1/2 tables for the Mixed games on Wednesday. (Total number of 299ers = 137 and growing!)

It is fun to watch our “newbies” learning from the 299ers and the 299ers from the Open players. Everyone seems to be moving up the ladder. Much of the credit being owed to our instructors, directors, Jim Logan for organizing the mixed games once a month and definitely to all of you for continuing to take the lessons, studying, and playing, playing, playing!

We have several new players from the Dade City - St. Leo area coming to our Wednesday games. They like the friendliness of our Club. Please welcome them again this coming week.

NCBC Survey showed an overwhelming interest in the mini-sessions and the classes being offered. Your Education Committee met last week and has many offerings coming up, both during the summer and next year. Final details will be coming out soon. The one-hour summer sessions (bi-weekly) will be $8 per session which will include your $5 game fee. All are welcome. You will hear more details when the schedule is finalized.

Bradenton Sectionals are coming up in a couple weeks. Right now we have six 299ers attending. Anyone else interested? The dates are Thursday May 19th through the 22nd. Details are in the Sunshine News.

I will see everyone Tuesday. Paula Storch will be filling in for me until May 17th. I will have my computer with me so you will be kept up-to-date on various happenings.
