The King House Asian Bistro was formerly a Chinese buffet, located in the strip mall at Cortez Boulevard and Mariner Boulevard, behind Walgreens and Carrabba's -- right in my own backyard, and I never knew it. We had been there several times when it was a buffet, and watched its quality slip until we no longer bothered.

It's now a superb sit-down restaurant, offering Japanese, Chinese, and Thai selections. Prices are moderate, the service is firendly and casual, and the atmosphere is acceptable. But don't go there for those reasons -- it's the food! We've only been there once, so we haven't tried very much of their menu, but based on what we had you won't be disappointed. It's surely the best restaturant of its kind in the area.
