Our dear friend, Claudia Hendry, needs our prayers. I just came from her home. She found out a few days ago that she has lung cancer which also involves the spine and the liver.  How very sad.

She is starting treatment on Monday.   Her address is
P.O. Box 10228,
Brooksville, Fl. 34603-0228

I'm sure our bridge family will give her lots of support.

I just received a lovely note from Bill Martin's wife, Mary, which said:

"Dear Christie,

Would you please convey to all the bridge club members how much I appreciated all of the cards and words of condolence. Bill really felt he had found a home and many friends at Nature Coast. He always commented about how welcome people made him feel.

Thank you! Mary"

I had a nice visit with Nora Saturday. She's at HealthSouth Rehab. and expects to be there at least untill April 6 or so. Her mood was, as usual, terrific and she was thrilled to learn that we have racks for one-handers to play Bridge. She also was very touched by the card she got from us.

Elections for the NCBC board took place from Monday, March 21st through Friday, March 25th.

First of all, thanks to all the candidates who agreed to run for a position on the board! It's encouraging to know that so many players are willing to put in the time and effort to be NCBC board members.

We had no losers. All positions resulted in extremely close results.

The board for 2011 - 2012 will be:
President - Beverly Tillberry;
Vice President - Lois Fortunato;
Secretary - Gerry Panos;
Treasurer - Annabelle Hills;
Directors - Jim Logan, Mary Ann Dufresne and Jerry Lebo.
