Pat Foster will be bringing about 20 of her Port Richey friends and students to visit and play with us on Thursday 5/30 and on Wednesday 6/5.  To make them welcome we've decided to offer a free lesson and lunch on those days.  All of our regular Thursday and Wednesday players are very welcome to join in the festivities, too.  Here's the schedule for both days:

11:00--A lesson on establishing long suits.  Mary Ann Dufresene will teach on 5/30 and Sue Graham will teach on 6/5.

11:45--Lunch

12:30--Our regular game.

Hope you can be there!

In order to draw some working people to the club I'll be offering a course of beginner lessons on Thursday evenings, starting 5/30.  The course will run for six consecutive weeks from 6:30-8:30.  The cost is $50 but the first lesson is free so people can get an idea of what the game is like and whether it's for them.

If you or any of your friends might be interested in these lessons, please let me know--(352) 592-4882 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it   If you've taken beginner lessons at the club before but would like to review, the cost is just $25.

Our website provides a wealth of resources for all players. One of the more helpful things available to players is the phone list. When you need a partner, you'd like to know the player you call might want to play with you and that the player is someone you would most likely be comfortable playing with.

One of our members has reminded us that snapping cards is very annoying and distracting to other players.  Also, it's particularly disturbing to members who have hearing aids.  Please try to pay a little more attention.  Simple bridge etiquette makes the game so much more enjoyable for everyone.  Thanks!
