We'll be missing Mary Ann duFresne (for a short while, I hope). She will be having a procedure to open her carotid artery. Her address for cards is: 9452 Yellowthroat Avenue, Weeki Wachee, FL 34614. In an e-mail Saturday, Mary Ann said this: "My doctor called his morning to tell me the latest tests show that my blockages aren't as bad as initially suspected. I'm not at death's door at the moment. With luck, I'll be able to escape surgery. "You won't see me next week because I'm scheduled for lots of doctor visits and tests. I should be back the following week. "Thanks for all the help and all the kind thoughts."
