The Sectional was better attended than expected, with 13 more tables than last year. Some had feared that holding it on Easter weekend would hold down attendance. Last summer, when the decision was made to accept such a lousy date, it was hoped that the presense of many of our local snowbirds in April, compared to June, would offset the Easter date -- this appears to have happened.

While some sectionals have been known to lose money, it appears that your tremendous support has ensured a profit of around $2500. About $500 of that came from direct cash donations and the 50-50 raffle, both of which were new this year.

At the NCBC Board Meeting this morning, Annabelle Hills was commended unanimously for all her hard work. We should all be glad she's so willing and so able to undertake the task. As usual, however, the list of major contributors is so long that thanking everybody personally is not possible -- many worked long and hard and anonymously. Nevertheless, be assured that we do thank you very much.
