This morning we held our first-ever 299er game. Most of the recent graduates of my beginning bridge class were there as well as some old friends we haven't seen in a long time--four tables in all. The game was very relaxed and, as an extra special attraction, Marion Ellingsen came and gave bidding advice to all and sundry. Best of all, some of our student players won their first master points. Good job, guys! The big winners for the day were:
And a special acknowledgment to returning players Ray Ludwin and Leon Isaacs who bravely faced the all-female opposition and never forgot to be perfect gentlemen. A good time was had by all!
