The author of the voting software, Oli Merten, from Mannheim, Germany, logged in today and did some debugging. His software is expected to handle polling of our users to see how they like certain things. It also works for Swiss-Team signups, and potentially can handle Elections including nominations and write-ins.

Several of the bugs we had reported, like the "Vote" button not showing any response even though it worked, have been fixed in a version of the software running on his machine. He turned on "debug mode" and got some important information without bothering any of us.

That's the power of the internet. He's thousands of miles away, yet can work on our site almost as well as his own.
